We know travel plans can change! Because we are a small, independent company with a small fleet, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you need to alter your trip. We’ve designed our policy to be as flexible as possible while protecting our ability to keep our engines running:

• 14 days or more before pickup: You will receive a 100% full refund of your booking total. No hidden fees, no penalties.
• 7 to 13 days before pickup: You can choose between a 50% cash refund or a 100% digital gift certificate to use for a rescheduled adventure anytime within the next 12 months.
• Less than 7 days before pickup: Cancellations made within one week of your trip start date are non-refundable.

🌧️ A note on peace of mind: Because life happens, we highly recommend purchasing third-party travel insurance for your vacation. Within the 7-day non-refundable window, we cannot offer refunds for flight or weather disruptions, sudden illnesses, or personal changes.

Unlike the large commercial car rental agencies you find at the airport we are a small business with a small fleet. For this reason we ask our guests to purchase their own insurance to ensure they are fully protected during their trip. 

In the United States you must have both Collision Damage ('CDW') and Supplemental Liability Insurance ('SLI') to be fully protected. This covers damage to our rental vehicle, damage to other people's vehicles and property and also bodily injury.

You can purchase insurance online for the duration of your rental. We have a couple of suggestions which we share with you when you book but you can do your own research to find the best price and coverage for you. Prices vary depending on your age and country of residence.

For US residents and visitors from North America your personal auto insurance is usually sufficient.

Some credit cards have CDW included as part of their travel insurance policy, however SLI is usually not. Remember you must make the booking/payment with the relevant credit card for the insurance to apply.

To rent a vehicle you must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid government-issued ID.

Yes. To ensure everything goes smoothly, we require a refundable security deposit at the time of pickup. This deposit is fully refunded after your rental period, provided the vehicle is returned on time and in its original condition.

The deposit amounts are based on driver age:

• Drivers aged 25 and older: $250
• Drivers aged 24 and younger: $450

💡 What does this cover? Think of this as a safety net! It covers minor incidentals like lost gear, missing keys, or small nicks and scratches to the vehicle, ensuring the next adventurer gets the same great experience you did.

Our rental vehicles are strictly limited to a maximum of 3 guests.

While it might be tempting to squeeze in a fourth adventurer, we’ve found that anything beyond three guests significantly cuts down on your comfort. The high-quality, extra-comfy sleeping pads and premium camping gear we provide take up a substantial amount of space. Capping the group at three ensures you have plenty of breathing room, an easy pack-out, and a truly comfortable, stress-free road trip!

The 'Mini' setup is designed for a maximum of 2 guests.

Because this specific package does not include a ground tent, you will be sleeping cozy and secure right inside the vehicle, which only fits 2 guests.

There is a lot of conflicting information online about whether you can 'get away' with camping wherever you want on Maui. We are here to tell you that freedom camping is not an option, even with your fishing rod hanging out the back of your car.. Severe fines and penalties are issued for anyone found camping outside of a campsite or private property, and as a camping business we are naturally scrutinized and rightfully held accountable. We take this seriously and with due respect to Maui County regulations. We reserve the right to retrieve our vehicle and gear if we are notified of illegal camping. 

The reason for these strict regulations is that we are left with too much trash and damage as a result of overcrowding, improvised camping solutions and misused public spaces.

We urge all our guests to plan their camping spots well in advance. There are plenty of options and we are here to put you in touch with those providers so we can take care of you and our island in the best way possible.

Check-in/Pick-up: 3pm

Check-out/Drop-off: 12pm (noon)

We know flight schedules vary, and we do our absolute best to accommodate you! Just like a hotel, we have fixed pick-up and drop-off times to allow for vehicle turnover. If you need an early pickup or a late return to align with your flights, just reach out to us as early as possible to check availability.

We offer Half Day rentals for $50 which extends either your pick-up time or your drop-off time.
